I'll look into this, it probably means that the animation is finishing before the animation is finished? Maybe a race condition of some sort. Do you have any information on what sorts of things (besides the deal, causes this).. I guess I'm assuming does it only happen during the deal?

I would have assumed the same, but this is NOT only during the deal!

This game is turn-based and it showed like this when I went to take my turn today.
It wasn’t the first turn after the deal, I don’t think and it also remained that way.

PS- I have NOT seen this issue on iphone/safari (where I do 99% of my plays)
but have seen this it 2-3 times on mac/firefox in the last week (where I played less than a dozen turns)

Very strange so it was that way when you first refreshed? Do you know what version of firefox you run? Does it persist after a refresh? How often would you say this happens?

Unfortunately, BGA doesn't send notifications when new comments are made on a bug, only when comments are made as the bug changed status. As such, I didn't see this before now, when I came back to add an additional table (and then looked at all of my in-progress tables).

Observed on:
Mac / Firefox
NOT Observed on:
Mac / Chrome
iPhone / Safari

Some OS / Browser details:
Firefox 104.0b8 (update available - immediately after posting this comment, I will update. if that fixes things, I'm return and let you know; otherwise, assume it didn't fix it)
MacOS Monterey - 12.4
iPhone 11 / iOS 15.5

I am currently playing 4 turn-based games (4-player for 3 of them, 5-player for the last.)
For 3 of those games, the player(s) at top of the table show with a single upside down card.
For 1 of the 4-player games, all cards are oriented correctly.

This persists across every page load/reload, closing the tab, re-opening the game, etc.

Currently Observed On Consistently On:

boardgamearena.com/9/lama?table=289528475
^^^ if I have my browser window wide enough, 2 players show across the top. Both of these players have an upside-down card.
If I reduce the width, only 1 player shows on the top. The player who moved to the side now has all cards the correct orientation. The player who remains on top, continues to have a single upside-down card.

To be clear: this doesn't appear to impact gameplay. It is just a strange little glitch.

Now I've upgraded Firefox. No change.
104.0b9 (64-bit); just realized I'm on Beta builds.

Now that I know it's persistant I'll see if I can recreate. if I can recreate I definitly CAN fix it otherwise I'm somewhat baffled as to why. I did try firefox and that didn't do it. I'm going to try to find a Mac to use.

Report closed automatically because it has not been upvoted or commented for a while.

Your bug has probably been fixed already, or was linked to a temporary failure of BGA service.

In any case, when filling a bug report, make sure to have an explicit title linked to the incident (ex: with error message), so other players can recognize it and vote for it.
