another table 572117652; having the same issue. I tried activating the special action first, it took my coins and highlighted my two bookspaces that qualified and once I selected one it did not give me the option to select another.

Normally I should be able to fit two books, 1 level 1 and 1 level 2. But whatever the order (I'll try level 1 first, then start all over again with level 2), I can only put down one.

ok, it was not a bug. I could not use it because i do not have enough book but i had enough flask and i thought it was automatic to convert flask into book. There is a button to convert flask into book and i think it is not intuitive.

I have the same problem. I activate the special action, have enough money, which is also deducted, but I can't even fill a shelf, let alone a second one. I have cancelled the move several times and tried again (using F5 before), unfortunately without success. This was also the case in previous games, so I actually didn't want to draw the card any more, but unfortunately I did it anyway. :-(
I'm still fairly new to the game, but I think I understand the rules and it's not me.
