I've read boardgamearena.com/bug?id=78002 and I understand that it was rejected as "too high cost/benefit", since it requested many new features.
However, practically all grid-based abstract strategy games on BGA have a coordinate system and refer to it in the game log. It's standard practice based on Chess.
Therefore, I don't think it is unreasonable to ask for this to be implemented for Hokito:
1. A coordinate system along the edges (that could be turned on/off in Options)
2. The end location of the opponent's last move is circled/highlighted on the board in a similar way as when selecting a counter/pile to move.
3. The coordinates of the end location of the move are added to the game log entry.
Thank you in advance for considering this! It would greatly help turn-based play. -

drive.google.com/file/d/1EpYBNdMeNy-aRrc-J6AJ9aso_Z9tdRtu/view?usp=sharing
In order to be able to communicate on a game played, it would be nice to have a system of coordinates and a chess-type notation to identify the moves.
chess-like notation to identify moves. I propose the following coordinate system (with black at the bottom of the board), in which rows are numbered from top to bottom and columns are lettered from left to right:
drive.google.com/file/d/1EpYBNdMeNy-aRrc-J6AJ9aso_Z9tdRtu/view?usp=sharing
Of course, if white is at the bottom of the board, number from bottom to top and letter from right to left.
For example, to indicate that black chip 1 takes black chip 2 (bottom right), simply write E6 x F6. Similarly, to indicate that the black rook 3*16 takes the white rook 2*6, simply write A6 x E4.
That's my suggestion. But of course, if BLOIZO makes another choice, I'll go along with it. The important thing for me is that the notation should be the same for everyone.
